The Karate Union of Australia Queensland offers the very best in instruction for Shotokan Karate. Our instructors regularly update their knowledge base through seminars whether in Australia or throughout the world with the worlds leading karateka. Our Instructors hold coaching accreditation, Senior First Aid qualifications and a current Blue Card from the Queensland Governments Department of Children and Young People. We are a non-profit family orientated organisation.

Shotokan Karate is the most popular martial arts style practiced worldwide. Within Australia, our group is recognised as one of the largest and most respected organisations practicing this traditional art. The Karate Union of Australia is made up of members in most states of Australia who share the same philosophy towards training in their art Shotokan Karate.
Our State, National and International affiliations allow us many avenues to pursue within the world of martial arts. One privilege we have is our regular bi-annual exchange program with Japan where knowledge and friendship is freely given. Leading Japan Karate Federation Instructors regularly visit Australia to continue to support and improve our technique.
We are proud members of the Government recognised, Australian Karate Federation, and (State) Karate Federations. Through our International group affiliations the Universal Shotokan Karate organisation and the I.S.K.D.A, we also hold membership to the All JAPAN KARATE-DO FEDERATION.
